No one asked for my thoughts.

What you read as “getting political on social media” is my reminder to someone else that they aren’t fighting alone.

It is my reassurance to a friend that I see them. I grieve with them. I hurt for and with them. That I will not be passive.

So no, no one asked for this. The world has ever clamored for mine or anyone’s official statement, however silence is reverberating, it is ear splitting, and it is callous. It is not a hard thing to say, it should be the easiest thing in the world to say.
